Happy After All For Miracles Did Happen

Yesterday, we went to a nearest drugstore to buy some medicines. I asked Saysay to accompany me to Mercury Drugstore. When I entered, there were only two people in the counter. I asked the saleslady to give me Strumazole, Altenolol Therablock, and Valda Pastiles. Strumazole is for my Hyperthyroidism, and Therablock is for my high blood maintenance. My daughter also asked me to buy Valda for her itchy throat.

I always used my credit card, HSBC whenever I made purchases in the drugstore. It is easy to pay a bulk payment in the bank if I use credit cards. While waiting for the saleslady to process my credit card payment, I told Saysay to cross the street to use an internet to listen some Youtube music and do some movie downloads.

When the cashier gave me my medicines, I hurried back to the internet place where Saysay is listening music. We finished after an hour of work.

To my disbelief, I noticed that my legs numb when I stood up. The numbness was so intense that I had a hard time lifting my feet. But I was able to come out of the place and walk across the street holding Saysay.

I was already halfway of the first lane when I suddenly stumbled on my feet. I awkwardly found myself in the middle of the street kneeling on my both feet. I asked Saysay to hurriedly assist me in standing up. The numbness persisted. I was in awe since we are in the middle of the street. “Pick me up hurry!” I told her. She told me that I was too heavy she can't do it. I found the group of people waiting for the jeepney looking intensely at us. The man was running, ready to assist me. But I was so persistent to stand on my feet and I did stand before the man arrived.

It was horribly scene. Imagine, I was on the busy street and unable to move myself to the safe place. I was really thankful that the Almighty help me up. Thankful that at the time it happened the there were no buses, jeepneys, motorcycles racing hurriedly on that lane. But it happened in the other lane. The other lane was so full of cars, busses and jeepneys racing hurriedly on that free lane. I was on the safe side of the street massaging my legs so that I can again cross the street.

After a while we went back home. I was happy after all that I was saved by that possible accident while I stumbled at the middle of the street. It was a miracle because by the time it happened, the first lane, a busy free lane was deserted.

Mom is a happy blogger!

Who is a Blogger? She is someone who use the internet to express anything about herself, a means to maintain and build social connections.

I am a techie mom, but my busy schedule permits me to learn this stuff. I will always say Yak! corny to those posting in their blogs in Friendster. Not until the time I noticed my daughter posting a journal to her blog. Wow! Her ideas are expressive and inspiring.

Curiosity brings me to study how my officemates do it and update their blogs frequently. Then I realized that you don’t need to be a techie mom to learn all this things. It is as easy as ABC.

Here’s how I do it:
1. I choose my theme. Here you would select what kind of blog you would like to have. ( In my case a choose a happy theme that is why my blog’s name is Happy Cliker at http://happycliker.blogspot.com)

2. I created an account in Blogger.com. You can also choose among these sites: LiveJournal.com,Wordpress.com, Multiply.com or Friendster.com.

3. I selected the user friendly layouts from Blogger.com existing templates. After that, its done. It is so easy. It is now ready for future updates. From the template, you can choose from the many enhancements that your blog could have.

It is after our NYC convention that I consider blogging a little serious. It talks about the little percentage you could earn from the ads that can be displayed on your webpage. But, it should not be the primary aim for blogging for you will be discouraged if that is your target. That little percentage is extremely small compared to the amount you are earning in your stable job.

What is good thing in blogging is that you can meet friends through your blog. It uplifts your spirit that there are people who are reading your articles and appreciate it. It is fun. I think it is a good thing. You cannot only exercise your mind, express yourself, improve your grammar, but it makes you happy. Because the fact that someone is reading your blog is a recognition that is well deserved. That is why I considered myself as a Happy Blogger mom! Thank you to my beautiful, intelligent teenage daughter who gives me the inspiration. Happy Blogging you all!

Will Money Makes You Happy?

It is almost two weeks now that the Philippine Lotto outlets are full of people waiting their turn to buy the 6/49 lotto ticket. Many are taking chances to try their luck in this game of chance. I for one am taking that chance. The jackpot money rises to almost 250 million pesos. That is a big amount of money. It really makes a difference if you will be the one winning the jackpot. I’ve been joking with my officemates regarding the question “What are you going to do with the money granting you will be the winner?. Many can’t decide, even me can’t. One said he will franchise a Jollibee outlet. Another one said she will stop working and will focus on a business instead. Well, they have their own reasons. With this global recession going on we always have the spirit to uplift ourselves with sometimes hopeless situation. It is our way of life. Many put their hopes in Lotto, the game of chance with a least probability of winning.

Valentine's Day Special Moment

Valentine's Day is Coming! February 14 is always a happy day for me. Not just because it is a Heart's Day but because it is the birthday of my princess, my sweet lady Ethel.
I reminisce the time back February 13, 1993 when we were at Manila. While watching the favorite TV back at home, the family members kept on joking that the baby will not have the same birthday with her cousin Jason, who is celebrating his birthday at February 14. But to our excitement, the next day at 4:00 am I suddenly felt the sudden pain of the cervical contractions which came in a five minute interval. We hurriedly walked to the nearest hospital which is the Chinese General Hospital. It is around 200 meters walking distance from our place.
At the hospital, the nurse on duty interviewed me first then after a while, told me to enter the Labor Room. Inside the Labor Room, I heard the cries, the voices and the moaning of the pregnant women feeling the pain of the contractions, who were all lying in bed waiting their turn to enter the Delivery Room. The intern nurses, the attendants, and the doctors come and go. They performed IE ( Internal Examination) which came in painful. I noticed my OB inside the room then she performed again another IE. She said that it was not fully dilated, then she hurriedly went out of the room.
The labor pains were so intense I can hardly bear it. I can count how many times I prayed the Lord's Prayer and the 26th Psalms. I started praying it at around 7 am when I noticed that many pregnant women enter the delivery room first. Every time the pain strikes, I prayed. It is the only way I remembered that can save me with such helpless situation. The pregnant women who entered the room last were bypassing me with my turn to enter the Delivery Room. It was around 11:00 am that I suddenly felt to throw out. I hurriedly stood up and before I knew it, I vomited on my way to the room's sink. The attendant was so mad at me at the moment. He took the mop and started mopping my dirt. Then I went back to my bed feeling tired.
At around 12 noon the doctor arrived. She performed the IE again and directed the nurse to bring me to the Delivery room. At last! after waiting for almost 8 hours. The last IE was extremely painful. How I wish it never happen at that moment. They placed me in bed and told me to raise and put my feet at the metal side of the bed. When they noticed that the baby was ready to go out, they told me to push hard. I push harder but the baby wont go out. I pushed again and again but then it was not successful. The OB told me that if the baby wont go out at the 7th long, hard push; then she can do nothing but to perform the Cesarean Operation. The last push was unsuccessful.
I heard the doctor directing the nurses to ready the materials for Cesarean Operation. Then suddenly she halted them and said " Let us try the forceps first". Then I saw the forceps that is really big. The nurse injected the pain reliever med. Then the OB inserted that big forceps in me. After a sudden strong pull, I fainted. I never even saw what my baby look like at that time. It was the last time I remembered that day. I woke up the day after feeling tired and weak.
It is really and unforgettable Valentine's Day. But every time I remember it, I always feel happy because I give birth to a healthy, beautiful girl and survived that 1993 Valentine's Day pain of giving birth. It is a very Special Moment because I give birth t my firstborn Ethel Grace and made me a complete mom!

Happy beginning

I want my reader to remember something every time they open this site. (Well it is still progressing right now), a happy smile, a happy face, a gesture of satisfaction, a happy thought.

It is just a coincidence that when I searched Google this morning of the keyword " how to be happy", there are almost 49 million searches. Does that mean that almost 49 million people are still searching for happiness that they did not find at the moment? Well happiness is measured and gauge differently by individuals. Below are some things that make people happy:
- Friends
- Pets
- A new house
- A new car ( the latest model in themarket)
- A job promotion
- A new gadget
- A new friend
- A special occasion
- A relationship
- Money (more of it)
- Shopping
- Travel abroad

Above are some things that make people happy. How to make people happy is the primary aim of these site. If not completely then maybe ease some burden that you are carrying right now. As I said a while ago, it is still progressing right now. I am still thinking on how to go about it.

You can help me if you send your comments. I want to hear from you. Can you share me your thoughts and reactions through this blog?

I'll keep in touch. Thank you and God Bless!
